Ensure Food Security
Our FORK fund harnesses one of the most powerful tools available to cooperative living—bulk purchasing power—to radically reduce the cost of everyday life.

By pooling our resources, we utilize bulk purchasing on household essentials like groceries, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and laundry soap, translating direct, tangible savings to every member's budget.
Operating on a monthly budget of $90 per our FORK fund proves that community care is both deeply impactful and remarkably efficient.
More Than Savings:
Based on having a full house of 23 members plus 2 guests joining us, annually FORK funds 2,500 community meals. These gatherings bring us together to break bread, deepen our bonds, and build a truly connected community.
Each week a dedicated team of members prepare a shopping list within budget parameters, before heading out to source and shelve those items. And members volunteer to prepare meals and do cleanup.

Donate Your Returnables
Sipzee is a Michigan-based recycling service that connects households with local workers who pick up returnable bottles and cans from homes. The proceeds are split between the driver, Sipzee and a charity of your choice.
Your Sipzee donation to Grand Rapids Alliance of Cooperative Communities goes toward our Popcan Fund and members vote to decide how to use the funds for community building events, new kitchen equipment, furniture, or other assets needs.
